FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device for cooling the electric machine brush-contact apparatus contains a brush-contact apparatus, a fan designed to circulate cooling air through the brush-contact apparatus (BCA). The air intake element is made in the form of a branch pipe having an inlet window for air intake and an exit window communicating with the BCA. An open water tank is installed in the branch pipe, above which there are guiding elements designed to provide air passage from the entrance window to the outlet on the side of the tank with separation of air flow into separate jets and there are clearances between the guide elements that are closed on the side of the entrance window.
EFFECT: increasing the operational reliability of the electric machine brush-contact apparatus due to the humidification of air supplied to cool the brush-contact apparatus to the values favorable for the operation of the brush-contact apparatus.
