FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drive unit for, in particular, for activating flow control valves. Drive unit is designed to operate the flow control valves and comprises a housing, an electric input, electromechanical converter unit, mechanical output and electronic controller. Controller comprises an electronic display and an input unit with a set of buttons extending into the housing, located adjacent to the display and configured to be pressed to overcome the action of the return device. Unit contains contactless switches operated by buttons. Buttons that activate the switches correspond to the mechanical stops, executed independently of the switches. Allocation of the switching functions in the controller to individual buttons can be changed. Display comprises a working information area and at least one activation information zone adjacent to the buttons, while the current distribution of functions by individual buttons is displayed in the indicated area of the activation information.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the increased ease of maintenance and management to ensure the increased technological safety of installations that are equipped with such drive units.
