SURGICAL DEVICE FOR USE BY SURGEON DURING OPHTHALMIC SURGICAL PROCEDURE (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2682485 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to a surgical device for use by a surgeon during an ophthalmic surgical procedure. Disclosed is a surgical device for use by a surgeon during an ophthalmic surgical procedure, wherein the device comprises at least one sealed sterilised surgical pack configured to be unsealed before a surgical procedure and disposed of after a single or a limited number of surgical procedures. At least one sealed sterilised surgical pack comprises a sterile surgical instrument and a sterile surgical tray. Sterile surgical tray comprises a top surface configured to be part of a sterile field of the surgical procedure. Sterile surgical tray also comprises walls that define a recess sized and configured to receive a reusable non-sterile module. Recess is configured to seal the reusable non-sterile module to isolate the reusable non-sterile module from the sterile field of the surgical procedure. Walls of the sterile surgical tray comprise at least one interface positioned and configured to enable at least one function of the reusable non-sterile module to be utilised in the sterile field of the surgical procedure outside of the recess. At least one interface comprises at least an electronic communication interface configured to enable an electronic controller of the reusable non-sterile module to electronically communicate with the sterile surgical tray or the sterile surgical instrument. Sterile surgical tray has a collapsed configuration for transportation and a deployed configuration for surgical use. In a second embodiment, said surgical device comprises at least one sealed sterilised surgical pack. At least one sealed sterilised surgical pack comprises a sterile surgical instrument and a sterile surgical tray. Sterile surgical tray comprises a top surface, configured to be part of the sterile field of the surgical procedure, and a bottom surface, size and configured to be coupled to the top surface or support the top surface of the reusable support structure. Reusable support structure comprises at least one of the following: a motor, a light source, a user interface display, a power source, and a computer processor. Sterile surgical tray comprises at least one of the following: a mechanical coupling for transmission of rotational motion from the motor of the support structure to a fluid pump connected to the sterile surgical tray, a light transmission coupling for transmission of light from the light source of the support structure to the sterile surgical instrument, a transparent material positioned to enable the user interface display of the support structure to be visible therethrough in the sterile field of the surgical procedure, an electrical coupling for transmission of electrical power from the power source of the support structure to the sterile surgical tray and an electronic communication coupling for transmission of electrical communications from the computer processor to the sterile surgical tray. In a third embodiment, said surgical device comprises at least one sealed sterilised surgical pack. At least one sealed sterilised surgical pack comprises at least one of the following modules: an infusion module and a sterile aspiration module. Each of the sterile infusion and aspiration modules comprises a housing, pump for pumping fluids into or out of a surgical site and a motor. Housing comprises walls sized and configured to be removably received in a recess of a reusable support structure, and at least one outer surface, designed to be part of the sterile field of the surgical procedure. Sterile infusion module is configured to pump fluids into the surgical site, and the sterile aspiration module is configured to pump liquids from the surgical site. At least one sealed sterilised surgical pack further comprises a sterile surgical instrument and a sterile surgical instrument holder. Sterile surgical instrument holder comprises a top surface, designed to be part of the sterile field of the surgical procedure. Top surface comprises a receiving part for positioning a sterile surgical instrument therein or thereon. Sterile surgical instrument holder also comprises bottom surface sized and configured for fitting a reusable support structure into another recess.

EFFECT: group of inventions is characterised by a lighter and more compact system for performing the procedures.
