FIELD: medical facilities.

SUBSTANCE: electric syringe is used for injecting dental anesthetic aid due to pressing rubber plug of cartridge filled with anesthetic aid. Anesthetic aid is injected from edge of dental needle connected with cartridge. Syringe has pushing member, drive electric engine, transmission mechanism and control unit. Pushing member is made for press onto rubber plug of cartridge and for displacement of plug. Transmission mechanism transmits drive force from electric engine to pushing member. Control unit is made for control of drive electric engine for shift of pushing member to increase gradually speed of injection at the beginning of injection and for making injection at constant speed after specific time is expired. Electric syringe also has working switch with window, and light-reflecting type detector to detect whether window is open or closed. Control unit is made for beginning of injection of anesthetic aid when detector detects the closed window.

EFFECT: reduced pain at injection; improved efficiency of syringe.
