FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation and can be used to determine the spatial coordinates (SC) of objects, stationary or mobile, and control their movement in local navigation areas. This result is achieved due to the fact that the system of n ground stations transmits radio signals in the form of two harmonic oscillations with appropriately assigned frequencies ƒin and ƒjn. Radio signals are synchronized in a predetermined manner in a single center in the time reference system associated with it, and transmitted along the communication lines to each station. When generating and transmitting radio signals, the conditions specified in the method are met. Object receives a set of analog radio signals and converts it into a corresponding digital set, each digital signal of which contains two digital components Qin and Qjn. For each of these components, digital components Iin and Ijn. By pairs of digital components (Qin, Iin) and (Qjn, Ijn) determine, in the time reference system associated with the object, the times of the reception of various n-th radio signals and the difference in the times of the reception times of the various two n-th radio signals. Due to these differences and the coordinates of the phase centers known at the site, the station antennas unambiguously determine the relative distances to the object from the indicated phase centers of the station antennas and uniquely determine the spatial coordinates of the phase center of the antenna of the object by relative distances.
