SUBSTANCE: invention relates to directional drilling wells. In particular, a system is proposed for distance measurement between a ranging well and a target well, comprising: the first and the second transmitter with magnetic dipoles placed in the ranging well; a voltage measurement device comprising a plurality of probes; and a controller coupled to the voltage measurement device calculates a distance or relative direction between the target well and a ranging well based on the ratio of the voltage difference made using the first magnetic dipole transmitter and the second magnetic dipole transmitter. In this case, the second transmitter is radially, axially or azimuthally separated from the said first sensor. Sounding borers can be placed in the target well, ranging well or on the surface of the geological formation.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of the distance measurement between the ranging and target wells.
