FIELD: food industry; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for drying edible vegetable raw materials and can be used in production lines of dried foods in food industry. Rotary dryer includes working chamber between body and inner cylinder, made in form of annular channel between them, divided by partitions into loading, drying and unloading zones. New is that in annular channel there are sections, each of which consists of a frame with slats and semiaxes, on which frame with gas distribution grid is fixed with possibility of frame angular displacement relative to frame equipped with side plates. Frame rests on one side on carcass planks and from the opposite side through ball bearings on the copier of outer guide. Frame has the possibility to rotate and move sections along zones of annular channel, as well as restrictions on moving the section in inclined state and returning frame to its original horizontal position after unloading the product, frame has a slope for unloading the product; sections are located in horizontal plane inclined towards unloading zone; between drying and unloading zones of finished product there is a product cooling zone; convection drying zone has a coolant recirculation loop.
EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in reducing energy consumption of dryer drive and increasing thermal efficiency, and also in increasing of utilization degree of coolant energy potentia.
