System contains subsystems for marking, administration, data storage, data processing and monitoring, marking subsystem is designed to set a confidentiality mark having both a visual and a digital form to an electronic document, and setting user access rights to the indicated labels; administration subsystem is designed to change confidentiality mark settings, generate and send alerts for events related to privacy marks in Microsoft Office electronic documents; storage subsystem is designed to store data about the confidentiality mark and its settings; monitoring subsystem is designed to request data on the confidentiality settings of the data processing subsystem, to provide data on the confidentiality mark settings to the marking subsystem, and to transmit data on the confidentiality mark to the data processing subsystem.

EFFECT: technical result is improved information security of Microsoft Office electronic documents.
