FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: system and method for automatic selecting of the user interface are disclosed, depending on the preferred style of user interaction with the mobile device (MD). In the method, the fingerprint database of the particular user is generated by means of scanning the user's fingerprints for each of the styles of user interaction with the MD, the type of each finger and its belonging to the left or right hand is determined, the range of user finger displacement angles is determined relative to the fingerprint scanner for each of the styles of the user interaction with the MD. While the user is working with the MD, the fingerprint of the user is scanned, its type and the finger's belonging to the left or to the right hand, and also the angle of the user's finger relative to the scanner are determined. It is determined, into which range of displacement angles relative to the scanner the scanned fingerprint of the user falls, the style of user interaction with the MD is determined and the user interface of the mobile device is customized for the specific style of interaction.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expanding the arsenal of the user interface tools.
