FIELD: electronic equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method for identification of fingerprints. Device for identification of fingerprints comprises at least one fingerprint scanner (21) and at least two electrodes (8, 23). First electrode (23) is located near support surface (7) for hand at some distance from said support surface (7) for hand so that, when index finger and/or middle finger and/or ring finger and/or little finger is placed on said support surface (7) for hand, thumb (12) of said hand (20) can be placed on first electrode (23). At least one second electrode (8) is located on support surface (7) for hand so that at least one finger from index, middle, ring or little finger could be placed on second electrode (8). Fingerprint scanner (21) and first electrode (23) and/or at least one second electrode (8) in each case are made in form of one unit (6). Measuring device (25) transmits (32) electric signals to placed hand (20) through electrodes (8, 23) for supply and analysis of electric signals and detects (33) changes of electric signals. Result of identification is then determined (34) by means of detected fingerprints and detected signals from measuring device (25). At least second electrode (8) is made in form of unit for detecting applied force, wherein electric signals can be supplied to corresponding electrode (8, 23) and/or can be detected/evaluated by measuring device (25) only when corresponding finger applies force to unit for detecting applied force.

EFFECT: high reliability of identifying fingerprints with respect to fraudulent manipulations.
