SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment. Device for increasing the resistance detection resolution, comprising: controller (108); alternating current source (104) that generates alternating current in response to a current value set by the controller; variable resistor; and ADC (106) that generates a voltage value based on an alternating voltage. In this case, the controller is configured to receive the voltage value, adjusting the current value by DAC (110) based on the received voltage value, so that the controller provides an increase and/or decrease in the current value to ensure that the AC voltage is within the voltage range as the variable resistance changes, which is smaller than the maximum voltage range (202, 302, 304, 206) that can be converted by ADC (106) to said voltage value; and to determine the variable resistance based on the received voltage value and the adjusted current value.

EFFECT: increase in resistance detection resolution.
