FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) includes a powered air component designed to be carried by a user of the PAPR, the powered air component including a fan and a filter, wherein the fan draws air from a user's environment through the filter. Controlled active heating element is configured to heat the airflow generated by the fan which is washing the active heating element. Outlet duct is configured for air flow to pass through it from the side of the active heating element and directing the air flow to the respiratory region of the respirator to provide the user with warm, clean air for breathing. Control system includes a photoelectric, capacitive or inductive sensor that records the rotation of the fan. To prevent overheating of the active heating element, the control system is designed to reduce the power supply fed to the active heating element, in the event that one of these sensors registers the fact of a reduction in the airflow created by the fan below a predetermined value. Variants of the heating module used in the respirator are disclosed.

EFFECT: technical result is to prevent overheating of the system of preventing the influx of excessively cold air to the user's face in order to increase their safety.
