FIELD: poultry industry.

SUBSTANCE: device (10) comprises longitudinally extended top-opened scalding tub (11) for receiving and maintaining a medium for scalding having at least one line (12.1, 12.2, …12.n) of transporting bird G, each (12.1, 12.2, …12.n) of which in the longitudinal extension direction borders with separating element (13) extending at least along part of the length of the said line, moving means (14) disposed above the scalding tub (11) and intended to move bird G suspended with the feet along line (12.1, 12.2, …12.n) of transporting in the movement direction T, control and regulating unit (15) for maintaining the temperature of the medium for scalding, means (16) for creating turbulence and/or a flow in the scalding medium and filtering device (35) for cleaning the said medium. Each separating element (13) comprises two partition walls (18, 19) spaced apart from each other and extending upwardly from wall (17) of the base of the scalding tub (11), thus forming channel (20) open at the top and from the end faces, herewith inside channel (20) within the area of holes (21, 22) formed in each partition wall (18, 19) facing line (12.1, 12.2, …12.n) there is turbulator (23) provided as means (16) for generating the turbulence and/or the flow in the medium for scalding, wherein the said turbulator is adapted to be rotationally driven by horizontally oriented drive shaft (24) extending transversely of travel direction T of bird G movement.

EFFECT: method and a device for scalding a clogged bird are provided.
