FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to catalytical composition. Composition for processing exhaust gases of internal combustion engines comprises zirconium oxide, cerium oxide and: between 0.1 and 10.0 % by weight of lanthanum oxide; between 3.0 and 20.0 % by weight of yttrium oxide; between 1.0 to 15.0 % by weight of tin oxide; and optionally between 0.0 and 10.0 % by weight of praseodymium oxide and/or neodymium oxide. Composition has BET specific surface area after calcination at 1000 °C for 6 hours, ranging from 45 m2/g up to 70 m2/g; and BET specific surface area after calcination at 1100 °C for 6 hours of at least 25 m2/g.
EFFECT: according to the present invention this composition exhibits high efficiency in catalytical systems used to purify exhaust gases from internal combustion engines.
