Method for determining the positions of video modules within a group is characterized in that for determining positions of video modules within a group, the group controller transmits a command to one or more video modules to activate one or more signal emitters, the activated signal emitters broadcast a signal transmitted wirelessly, this signal is received by one or more signal receivers of one or more video modules whose signal receivers are located adjacent to the activated signal emitters, the video modules receiving the signal transmit the reception information to the group controller, the group controller, based on the location of the signal emitters and the signal receivers in the video modules, information on activated signal emitters and information on signal receivers that have received the signal, determines the location of these modules relative to each other and stores this information in memory, next, the group controller repeats this procedure for the other video modules that make up the group, until the data on the relative position of the video modules is sufficient to form a complete map of the arrangement of the video modules in the group.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of data processing speed.
