FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in the manufacture of a hollow wheel with an internal gear ring of the pinion. Workpiece, that has a tubular part with a longitudinal axis, is machined by means of stamping tools. Each stamping tool is placed in the working position for manufacturing gear ring of the gear on the inside of the tubular part of the workpiece. At least one operative stamping tool is rotated about said longitudinal axis with a speed of rotation varying in time and brought in an oscillatory motion in the radial direction, which is synchronized with the rotational movement of the workpiece.
EFFECT: as a result, the tubular part of the workpiece is repeatedly machined with at least one stamping tool and the accuracy of the resulting inner ring gear is increased.
