METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF INDIVIDUAL PRACTICAL SKILLS OF A STUDENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2648870 C1

FIELD: medicine; pedagogy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and professional pedagogy and can be used to assess the quality of individual practical skills of students in the process of their learning and at the stage of passing the exam. Demonstration of training sequence and technique for carrying out practical resuscitation skills is conducted. Training is conducted by the method of incident and examination in conditions of continuous external audio and video recording. Demonstration to the student on the simulation mannequin the sequence and technique for performing resuscitation elements is carried out using video recording from the first person – the educator, use the obtained video data as a visual aid and reference. After the demonstration on the simulation mannequin of resuscitation, the student conducts resuscitation independently in the presence of the educator, using the received video and audio data of the educator with the subsequent control with video recording from the first person – the student in a room with a video projection of simulated external conditions on the whole its surface. Further on the exam in the absence of the examiner determine the degree of concentration of the student's attention during the performed resuscitative manipulations. It is evaluated as satisfactory by coincidence with the standard of the duration of the vision focus of the student trained in resuscitation manipulation of 80 % or more. Evaluation of the quality of individual practical skills of the student with the help of a point-rating control system is carried out with a satisfactory concentration.

EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the quality of teaching individual practical skills of resuscitation of the student by demonstrating consistency and technique for performing resuscitation elements using the first-person video recording.
