METHOD OF ESTIMATING SURVIVAL OF ACQUIRED PRACTICAL SKILLS IN PREPARATION OF HARD TOOTH TISSUES Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G09B23/28

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, and can be used for training practical skills in preparation of hard tooth tissues using simulators. During operation on simulator "CDS-100" the following points are assessed: treatment plan, including selection of preparation type required for preset type of filling materials, selection of preparation speed, selection of bur rotary tool; volume of preparation: in the “bottom” area of cavity in vestibular oral and approximal surfaces, angle and relief of the preparation; complications during preparation: opening pulp chamber, injury of adjacent tooth and overheating of the tooth tissues. Assessment of practical skills is performed based on criteria from “Systems of assessing practical skills using Dental 3D-simulator CDS-100”. Note here that the coefficient of practical skills is calculated. Result of practical skills is fixed upon completion of the training cycle from five sessions. Depending on the obtained value of coefficient conclusion is made on the survival of skills in full volume during the next term.

EFFECT: method increases survival rate of knowledge and practical skills owing to use of system for the assessment of practical skills for simulator “CDS-100”.
