SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering and can be used, in particular, when erecting ground dams of reservoirs and bund walls of hydraulic dumps, tailing dumps, ash dumps, etc., including cryolithozone. Ground dam with a cryogenic curtain in the body and in the base includes freezing columns located at the base of the cooling cavity, along the height of the dam formed to the crest and having concrete walls with removable floor. Concrete walls of the cooling cavity in the dam body are made of reinforced concrete precast elements of the angular section during the embankment process of the dam body, and the creation of a cooling cavity is completed by installing a ventilation skip on the dam crest with bolts at the ends.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability and operational safety of the dam or the dam of the hydro-dump by improving the creation of cryogenic curtains in unfiltered dams of the frozen type.
