FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, namely to device for measuring fuel consumption of automotive tractor diesels based on a hydrostatic fluid pressure sensor, and can be used for the energy evaluation of engines both on brake stands in stationary conditions and on vehicles under operating conditions. Device is equipped with an additional defoaming chamber connected to drain line of fuel system of engine, from which settled fuel enters graduated cylinder. Microprocessor measuring instrument, using a four-channel solenoid valve, controls operation of flowmeter by connecting drain and supply lines of fuel system to measuring cylinder of device. Measurement of flow rate of a part of fuel (100 g of sample) from graduated cylinder over time provides a guaranteed, without air congestion, the operation of the fuel system in all modes of engine operation, and in the future, this hourly charge calculates the hourly fuel consumption of the microprocessor device.
EFFECT: increase the accuracy of measuring fuel consumption in diesel automotive tractor engines and eliminate the possibility of air bubbles in the low-pressure line of its fuel system.
