FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analysis of the sealing capacity of devices and can be used to control the tightness of capsules using a source of ionizing radiation. Essence: the capsule tightness control device with the ionizing radiation source (IRS) includes electric heater (4), on which cassette (3) of containers filled with a solution is installed. Above cassette (3) of the tanks, grate (2) is placed, into the holes of which cylindrical cups (1) perforated at the bottom are inserted. Inside cups (1) capsules are placed with IRS. Entire installation is installed in fume hood (5). Disposable syringes (8) for sampling the solution are installed in the gripper of the sword manipulator. Capsules with IRS are placed in cups located in cassette (3) of sealed containers and immersed in a solution. Necessary number of cycles of heating the capsules with IRIS electric heater (4) is performed and then they are cooled. Samples of the solution are taken separately from each hermetic container of cassette (3) with disposable syringes (8) for radioactive control. If the radioactivity of the sample does not exceed the allowed values, the capsule with IRS is considered air-tight. In the case of increased radiation contamination of the solution with active isotopes of the radionuclide, the capsules with IRS are discarded, and cups (1) and cassette (3) of sealed containers are deactivated before loading the next batch of capsules.
EFFECT: simplification of the technology to control the air-tightness of capsules with a source of ionizing radiation.
