FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic compounds, in particular to the silicate glass-based compounds, and to the technology of ocular prosthesis manufacturing. Multi-layered ocular prosthesis based on silica comprising layers simulating a sclera, cornea and iris is described, a prosthesis in which the layers are made of glass with TEC (temperature expansion coefficient) (90–110)×10-7 deg-1 with a difference in TEC between layers of not more than 10 %, the layer simulating the sclera is made of glass of the following composition, mass%: Al2O3 0.7–7.5, B2O3 2.0–10.5, MgO 0–0.7, ZnO 3.5–7.6, K2O 0–7.5, CaO 2.5–10.2, Na2O 3.5–5.5, Na2SiF6 3.0–6.0, 3NaF⋅AlF3 0.1–10.9, dyes up to 2,2706, SiO2 – the rest; the layer imitating the iris is made of glass of the following composition, mass%: Al2O3 – 0.7–4.0, CaO – 0–3.0, Na2O – 3.5–12.0, K2O – 2.5–8.1, MgO – 0–1.5, ZnO – 0–6.5, B2O3 – 0–6.6, Na2SiF6 – 0–6.0, 3NaFAlF3 – 0.1–10.9, SiO2 – the rest; the layer simulating the cornea is made of glass without dyes of the following composition, mass%: Al2O3 – 1.0–6.0, B2O3 – 2.0–6.0, CaO – 3.0–4.5, MgO – 0–4.0, ZnO – 0–2.5, K2O – 6.5–8.0, 3NaFAlF3 – 0–0.1.
EFFECT: prosthesis has been obtained, which has an increased safety for human health due to reducing the content of fluorine harmful to humans, as well as increased mechanical strength.
