FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass compositions reinforced by ion exchange and intended for making articles having high strength and optical characteristics. Such articles are used as glazing of aircraft, automobile, railway, water and other types of transport. Glass hardened by ion exchange contains SiO2, Al2O3, K2O, MgO, Na2O, CaO, B2O3, P2O5, ZnO, Sb2O3, Na2SiF6 and Fe2O3 with following content of components, wt. %: SiO2 55.0–62.0; Al2O3 11.0–16.0; K2O 1.5–3.5; MgO 1.4–4.5; Na2O 14.0–16.0; CaO 0.01–1.0; B2O3 0.001–3.0; P2O5 0.001–2.0; ZnO 3.0–8.3; Sb2O3 0.1–2.5; Na2SiF6 0.1–2.0; Fe2O3 0.001–0.2.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining glass, which as a result of hardening by ion exchange has a greater depth of compressed layer with shorter duration of hardening process.
