SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Device for intraocular lens insertion comprises: intraocular lens support part configured to support the intraocular lens for insertion into the eye of the animal; drive part configured to receive mechanical energy from the energy storage device and to convert the resulting mechanical energy into a translational movement of the lens supported in the IOL support. Wherein, drive part comprises closed fluid flow filled with substantially incompressible fluid and plunger device. Closed fluid flow transfers energy from the energy storage device to the plunger device to move it. Method for releasing intraocular lens from a cassette of intraocular lens is also provided, according to which: the stored energy is released from a compressible medium to store energy; transmitting energy released from the compressible medium for storing energy to the plunger by means of a substantially incompressible fluid; plunger is moved with a substantially incompressible fluid to expel the intraocular lens from the intraocular lens cassette.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will reduce the effort exerted by the surgeon.
