FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to external combustion engines based on the gamma-type Stirling engine. Core of the inventions is in fact that the gamma-type Stirling engine includes a sequentially operating drive mechanism for working pistons and displacers and provides an almost ideal sequence of operations. Engine is supplemented with a regulator of the working medium flow and a partition separating an operating heater of the working medium from the rest of the engine during the high-pressure action stage. In the flow regulator the working medium passes through one or more successive stages with displacers/working cylinders prior to heating. Control system directs the working medium from the inlet to the first displacer, then to the first working cylinder, and after increasing the volume either to the heating or to the next displacer. Cooled working medium, after all, is sent back to the heater, which operates as per the countercurrent principle.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the efficiency of the engine regulation.
