FIELD: physics; clocks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the watch industry. An electrical time device has an accumulator, a clock mechanism, a time indicator and a device which converts one type of energy into another. The clock mechanism is powered by electrical current and the device which converts one type of energy into another is in the form of a device for converting heat energy into mechanical energy to generate electrical energy to power electrical time devices. The device for converting heat energy into mechanical energy to generate electrical energy has a heat engine which is configured to convert temperature difference at two different points in space or on surfaces or on the surface and space into mechanical motion which is transmitted to a generator which generates electrical current. The heat engine can be in the form of a Stirling engine of a gamma-type, a rotor-type or a free piston-type.
EFFECT: high movement accuracy of electrical time devices, improved independent operation of the clock mechanism; obtaining electrical energy for powering electrical time devices, particularly for automatic battery charging without external user action by converting heat energy, ie using temperature difference in different regions in space; high reliability and longevity owing to prevention of surge voltage or insufficient supply voltage in electrical time devices through the use of a device for converting heat energy into mechanical energy to generate electrical energy, based on the use of a heat engine; obtaining energy for powering electrical time devices, particularly for battery charging, and using the obtained energy to power auxiliary objects.
