FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pressure metal treatment of hot forging and can be used in the manufacture of a forging of a swivel pin of a lorry, having a central part of the saddle shape and a two-sided rod part with necks and shelves with holes. Preliminary profiling is carried out to a temperature of 1100 °C of the initial blank by cross-wedge rolling. A semi-finished product having a finally formed central part and neck surfaces of the rod part is obtained, and also the formed section for shelves on the rod part. Then, the final forging of the semi-finished product is carried out at a temperature not lower than 900 °C with a deformation rate from 0.05 to 0.1 m/s. In the final forging process, the shelves surfaces of the rod part and the bilateral grooves for a hole are formed, and also the said holes are punched.
EFFECT: as a result, forgings are produced with increased geometric accuracy, high surface quality and reduced metal consumption rate.
