FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for hot plastic processing of elongated steel forgings on a horizontal hammer (impactor). By radial-shear rolling of a heated long-length blank of circular cross-section, periodic rolling is formed from joining blanks in the form of two spherical sections for the heads of future wrench jaws, interconnected by a section rolled to a diameter. Adjacent blanks are connected to each other by a section. Then the resulting periodic rolling with a residual temperature is fed in increments to a hammer with a horizontal arrangement of impact masses. With the help of a stamp, a part of a long-length blank that falls on one forging is deformed in one blow. At the same time, the previously stamped forging of the wrench is separated from the long-length blank when the halves of the stamp are closed. Pruning of the tail is carried out piece by piece with the help of an trimming die.
EFFECT: as a result, the number of blanking operations is minimized by refusing to manufacture piece blanks by cutting long products and their subsequent shaping in several transitions.
