FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of die forged rotary cams including rod and branched flange portion.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating cut off initial blank; step-by-step forming semi-finished product of heated blank. In order to realize it, part of initial blank is subjected to rolling for forming rod portion of semi-finished product. Then at next working processes rod portion is finally formed. Branched flange is formed during two steps. At first semi-finished product with free surfaces is formed in die set without displacing metal to fin, then semi-finished product is formed in closed die set at displacing metal to fin.
EFFECT: lowered deforming efforts and material consumption.
