FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used indie forging. Forged pieces are produced at temperatures corresponding to semi-hot and hot die forging. Billet cut from the bar is heated, pre-shaped and subjected to final fording in open die with extrusion of excess metal through gap between die parts. Note here that sizes of die bend contours in contact with metal does not exceed appropriate sizes of forged piece. In pre-shaping, semi-stuff with tight elements of forged piece is formed. Excess metal is extrude at an angle to semi-stuff vertical axis in to gap between die part internal member and external member. Said angle is larger than zero but smaller than 90 degrees.
EFFECT: expanded forging performances.
