FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used to accurately determine the level of a liquid in a vessel. Level gauge contains series-connected modulator, microwave generator, directional coupler, circulator and transceiver antenna directed towards the controlled surface, computing unit and first mixer, the first input of which is connected to the additional output of the directional coupler, the second input is connected to the third terminal of the circulator, and the output is connected to the input of the computing unit. In addition, the level gauge comprises a second mixer and a phase shifter by an angle π/4, wherein the first input of the second mixer is connected to an additional terminal of the directional coupler, the second input is connected via a phase shifter to the third terminal of the circulator, and the output is connected to the second input of the computing unit.
EFFECT: measurement accuracy in the proposed level gauge is increased.
