FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used for high-accuracy determination of liquid level in reservoir. In disclosed method of liquid level in reservoir measuring technical result is achieved due to fact, that toward fluid surface along normal line to it frequency-modulated by linear law electromagnetic waves are emitted, receiving reflected electromagnetic waves, then differential frequency signal is selected at mixer output between falling and reflected electromagnetic waves, these data are recorded in form of samples array with frequency ƒs for modulation period time, determining level by differential frequency signal spectral density maximum frequency. At that, differential frequency signal data array is additionally recorded with frequency ƒsi, varying in proportion to measurement system linear frequency response deviation, and then uniformly selected again for spectral processing.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of accuracy of measurements.
