FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction of asphalt-concrete coatings. Method includes primary mechanical treatment of the mixture with screws installed in the asphalt paver receiving bin and secondary treatment of the mixture on a vibratory chute installed after the augers. As a result of active mixing of the mixture, temperature and fractional segregation is significantly reduced. Method is realized by a device consisting of a receiving hopper of an asphalt paver, in which the mixture is stirred by screws, on the helical screw there are drivers that increase the screw diameter by h=(2–3)dmax and width b=(3–5)dmax (dmax – the maximum size of the mineral aggregate of the mixture) set through every ¼ pitch of the screw, and the screws themselves are installed so that during rotation, the drivers of one screw travel into the working cavity of neighboring screws. At the end of the screws a damper is installed, which regulates the feed volume of the mixture to a vibratory tray tilted at an angle α=5–14° to the surface of the layer to be laid, while the tray performs vertical oscillations with a frequency of 17–26 Hz and an amplitude of 0.8–1.43 mm, depending on the type of asphaltic concrete laid.
EFFECT: invention is designed to reduce the temperature and fractional segregation of asphalt mixtures by equipment located on the paver.
