SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pharmaceutics and can be used in veterinary medicine to control rutting of small pets, mainly of cats and dogs. Two oral forms (liquid and tableted) are proposed for inhibiting the signs of rutting, the active principle of which is a combination of megestrol acetate (MA) with estrogen, preferably ethinylestradiol. Composition of the invention is characterized by a specific MA content (0.1-2.5%) and a ratio of active substances (5-500: 1).
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a highly effective means of this assignment with an increased level of safety in comparison with analogues for the spot-on administration route.
