SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutics and veterinary science and represents a pharmaceutical composition for correcting behavior of cats and dogs in stress situations, characterized by that as an active ingredient contains trazodone succinate in concentration, providing an effective dose in single use, and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
EFFECT: technical result consists in correction of behavior of MW under stress using trazodone succinate agent, which during 30–60 minutes after administration provides normalization of animal behavior (sedation) in different stress situations, wherein without observing the presence of the undesirable side effects characteristic of known medical analogues of the simultaneous or subsequent manifestation in the form of somnolence, lethargy, retardation and disturbed coordination of movements.
