SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to humidity sensors for vehicles. To this end, a method is proposed for using the estimated environmental humidity in a vehicle, comprising the steps of: adjust the power transmission component of the engine in response to the barometric pressure and the estimated ambient humidity, and the estimated ambient humidity is based on each of the location of the vehicle in the region, current time of day and/or year, ambient temperature and region data for the current time of day and/or year, stored in the controller memory; determine the differences between the measured humidity and the estimated humidity; update the evaluation parameters used to estimate the estimated moisture content based on a certain difference; and download the updated evaluation parameters and the received humidity data to the cloud server.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of accurate virtual humidity sensor.
