FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. Axial flow motor comprises one or more rotating discs and a stator, including a cavity, formed between the walls, and containing more than one assembly of electromagnetic coils therein. Each electromagnetic coil assembly comprises more than one pole element, either of which has an axially extending rod portion, a first and a second radially extending end shoe, and one or more corresponding coils. Each coil is wound around the core portion. Outer surface of said end shoes is attached to one or other of said walls. These shoes further comprise a heat exchange surface facing the coil wound around the rod.
EFFECT: improvement of the pole shoes cooling.
