SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a power toothbrush device and a method for manufacturing a portion of a power toothbrush brushhead assembly system, relates to the field of medical technology and is intended for cleaning teeth. Power toothbrush device comprises a handle containing a DC motor having a motor shaft, an eccentric connecting member, mounted on the motor shaft, and a brushhead assembly system including a rod member, designed with the ability to receive a detachable cleaning head with a cleaning element. Rod member is mounted for lateral movement relative to the king pin. Lateral movement is performed by the interaction of the eccentric connecting element with the portion of the proximal end of the rod member, wherein the transformation of the rotational action of the motor shaft into lateral movement of the rod member is performed by arranging the triangular connecting rod. Rod member is tuned by one or more characteristics, selected from the group consisting of: (1) stiffness of the rod member, (2) length of the rod member, and (3) moment of inertia of the cross section of the rod member, to change the resonant frequency of the brushhead assembly system relative to the drive frequency of the power toothbrush device to maintain the motion amplitude of the cleaning element when operating in a range of 1.0–2.5 mm.
EFFECT: inventions allow changing the resonant frequency of the brushhead assembly system increasingly or decreasingly with respect to the drive part for monitoring the amplitude of motion of the cleaning element within the required range.
