Electric toothbrush includes a housing, a frame located in the housing, a motor having an oscillating output and located on the frame, a shaft and an elastic mounting support. Motor shaft has a distal end adapted to receive the cleaning head of the toothbrush, and a proximal end extending from the motor in the housing. Elastic mounting support of the motor comprises one or more mounting tabs, each of which has a compression surface in compression contact with the proximal end of the motor, wherein the elastic mounting support is located in a compressed state between the motor and the side surface of the frame or housing and is configured to limit the maximum displacement of the shaft. Elastic mounting support of the motor for the electric toothbrush comprises a lower shock absorber having a central axis and a periphery, an axial support surface located at one end of the lower shock absorber, and one or more mounting tabs extending from the periphery of the shock absorber in the direction along the central axis. Each mounting tab includes a compression surface, which is arranged to be in compression contact with the proximal end of the motor of the electric toothbrush.

EFFECT: inventions allow the motor to be fixed to the frame in order to absorb vibration caused by the resonant operation of the motor and to absorb axial mechanical shock along the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush.
