SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a modified polyphenol binder composition, a process for its preparation and a composite product. Binder composition may comprise at least one unsaturated monomer and at least two polyphenolic compounds. Polyphenolic compound may include lignin, tannin, novolac resin, modified phenol-formaldehyde resin, bis-phenol A and humic acid or any mixture thereof. Method for preparing the composite product comprises steps of contacting lignocellulosic substrates with the binder composition and partially curing it. Composite product is prepared on the basis of lignocellulosic substrates with a binder composition by a process for its preparation.
EFFECT: technical result achieved with the use of the group of inventions is to improve the binder compositions for the manufacture of lignocellulose-containing composite products with reduced or no formaldehyde emission.
