FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of cryogenic radon concentrating. method includes cooling the gaseous radon released from the emanating radioactive source to negative temperatures using a plant containing a thermally insulated vessel with a filler pipe, closed by a thermally insulated lid, wherein a removable mesh container for placing a radioactive source is installed in the jar. Further preparation of radioactive source by sampling minerals with a dose rate of 280–320 mcR/h and their milling to fractions with particle sizes of 1.5–2.0 cm, filling of the container with liquid nitrogen to the upper level during the subsequent loading of the mesh container with the hinge of the radioactive source of ore covered with a lid, and cooling of gaseous radon to negative temperatures, corresponding to the temperature of the boiling point of liquid nitrogen, measurement of the concentration of the gaseous radon produced by the complete evaporation of liquid nitrogen by means of a radiometer, are required.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of radon production with emanation and the possibility of using the unit directly in stationary conditions, for example, in medical institutions.
