SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of drying, in particular to methods for cauline bast crops drying, for example for drying of the flax and hemp retted stalks. Method of the bast crops drying involves stems layer transporting and its simultaneously drying with a heat transfer medium flow simultaneously flowing along the stems from the side of the lumps and from above in the middle part of the layer across the stems. Heat transfer medium supply is additionally simultaneously carried out along the stems from the side of the stems tips, and the heat transfer medium removal is performed from the side opposite to the heat transfer medium supply across the stems. Additionally, the layer middle part drying across the stems with infrared radiation can be carried out simultaneously.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing in the bast crops stems drying uniformity and preserving the initial stems layer structural parameters with an increased velocity of the heat transfer medium.
