FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming round bales in the field from stem strips by applying one strip onto another strip with their apex parts, with butt ends being directed to the outside; binding round bales and transporting to reprocessing station; unwinding round bales before reprocessing; disintegrating and joining strips, with butt ends of stems being oriented to one side; providing slight drying of treated fibers to required moisture content. At reprocessing station, during unwinding of bale, strips preliminarily doubled in bale, are spread on netted conveyor before being fed for reprocessing, with strips being mutually positioned on conveyor in such a manner that is characteristic of said strips in bale, and are fed through drying chamber in such an arrangement. Method further involves, upon termination of drying procedure, gripping each strip by its part closer to root and, while each strip is approaching breaker-and-scutcher unit, transferring said strips from spreading conveyor to belt conveyor, with gripped parts being pressed; bringing away strips from one another until complete disintegration thereof; releasing strips from clamp and uniting, with stem apexes being oriented to one side; leveling strips with regard to their root parts.
EFFECT: increased yield of elongated fibers upon reprocessing of treated flax fibers.
