FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, in particular to the designs of aircraft with flapping movements of wings. Mechanism of the flapping wing comprises body (1) pivotally connected to wings (4), power unit and drive of flapping wings. Power unit is made in the form of geared motors (5, 6), gears (7) and gear wheels (8). In this case, flapping wings drive comprises driving (2) and driven (3) cranks, which are arranged symmetrically with respect to body (1). Wings (4) are pivotally connected to body (1) through driven cranks (3), and driving cranks (2) are pivotally connected to wings (4) on one side, on the other side – rigidly connected to shafts (9) of driving cranks (2), on which gear wheels (8) are mounted engaging with gears (7), mounted on shafts of motor-reducers (5, 6).
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the flapping wing mechanism is provided.
