FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices whose flight is carried out using flapping movements of the wings. An ornithopter includes a body with articulated wings and an electric motor fixedly mounted on the body. The housing has coaxial input and output shafts. The input shaft is rigidly connected to the motor shaft. A fixed elliptical gear wheel is rigidly fixed on the housing coaxially with the input shaft, and another elliptical gear wheel is installed on the output shaft. A carrier is installed on the input shaft and connected through a rotational kinematic pair to the satellite shaft, consisting of a toothed gear and an elliptical gear. Pulleys are installed on the output shaft and on one of the wings. A belt drive connects the pulleys on the output shaft and on the wing, whereas one of the ends of each wing is made in the form of a gear sector that transmits movement from the driving wing to the driven one.
EFFECT: high balance of the ornithopter actuator and a reduction in its overall dimensions.
