FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, specifically to ferritic stainless steel. Steel contains the following elements, wt%: carbon 0.020 or less, nitrogen 0.020 or less, chromium 15-20, titanium 0.30 or less, niobium 0.50 or less, copper 1.0-2.0, silicon 1.0-1.7, manganese 0.4-1.5, phosphorus 0.050 or less, sulphur 0.01 or less, aluminium 0.020 or less, the balance being iron and impurities, wherein the ratio of the product of the concentrations of titanium and nitrogen to the aluminium concentration ((Ti×N) / Al), providing an equiaxial granular structure, is at least 0.14. Steel may further comprise at least one element from, wt%: molybdenum 3.0 or less, boron 0.010 or less, vanadium 0.5 or less, and nickel 1.0 or less.
EFFECT: provides high resistance to oxidation, temperature strength and formability.
