SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a novel compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or isomer thereof. In the compound of formula (I), X is C or N, Y is C, N, C = O or C-halogen, Z is C or N, Q is O or NH, W is C, N, C1-C6 alkyl or C-halogen, and the remaining symbols and radicals are as defined in the claims. Compound of formula (I) has GPR40 receptor agonist activity, enhances insulin secretion and inhibits blood sugar rise after glucose loading. Invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing said compound as an active ingredient.
EFFECT: compound is suitable for treating diabetes and its complications.
