SUBSTANCE: method is intended for packaging food products, for example figurines or animals, which are the fruit of the imagination, and can also be used to package items such as Easter eggs or Christmas bells. Method uses two sheets of wrapping material joined together to form a closed cavity for receiving the product and forming a rim in the peripheral portions. In this case, the sealing zone formed in the rim is designed so that after bending it is in the distal part of the folded rim and does not intersect with the bend line. Inventions also include packaging for a food product and a device for carrying out the process.
