FIELD: package and storage.

SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a package for foodstuff products includes providing a first sheet of wrapping material, which presents a first portion for receiving said product and a first peripheral portion surrounding said first receiving portion. Further, the second sheet of wrapping material has a second portion for receiving said product and a second peripheral portion surrounding the second receiving portion. Then, the product is placed on the first or second receiving portions, which together form a closed cavity with the product placed in it. After that, the first and second peripheral portions are brought into contact with each other to form a flange surrounding the cavity, which is folded along the folding line so as to form the proximal and distal parts of the flange. Said distal part is bent back to the cavity, close to the proximal part along the folding line. On the flange, many separate sealing areas are provided at a distance from each other and are provided at a predetermined minimum distance from the first and/or second receiving portions, where the specified minimum distance is such that, after folding, all sealing areas are located in the distal part of the folded flange and do not intersect with the folding line.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides reliable closing of the package by holding the sheets together, including during transportation.
