Method includes: obtaining information about the remaining food for the food product in the refrigerator; obtaining the rate of food consumption for the food product; calculating the estimated number of the food product receptions according to the information on the remaining food products and the rate of consumption of the food product and generating the reminder information, when the estimated number of receptions is less than a predetermined number of receptions. Device for generating the information comprises a processor, a memory for storing instructions executed by the processor. Processor is configured able to obtain information about the remaining food products, the rate of food consumption, to calculate the number of food receptions and the rate of consumption of the product, to generate the reminder information, when the estimated number of receptions is less than a predetermined number of receptions, the refrigerator is used only for storing food, and the user at cooking can find out that the food amount in the refrigerator is not enough.
EFFECT: refrigerator can receive the remaining amount of food stored in the refrigerator and can generate reminders to remind the user when the remaining amount of food is not enough, which lets avoiding the problem that the user at cooking finds out that the food in the refrigerator is not enough.
